The War Storm Series is a series designed to simulate combined arms combat at scale section.

Created by Juan Carlos Cebrián and Nicolás Eskubi, and graphic design made by Nicolás Eskubi (winner of several CSR Awards).

The series is based on the principle of simultaneous execution, or simply “WE GO”, a hybrid system of shifts and “real time”.

It offers a medium complexity . Although it is designed for 2 players, it is also possible to play it solo, along with any War Storm Series game, using the new Alone in the Storm expansion. strong>.

The duration of the game will vary depending on the chosen scenario and its scale, between 1 and 2 hours.

The scale is section level, with units representing groups of between 30 and 40 soldiers, weapon tokens representing groups of 3- 4 weapons and their servants (20-25 soldiers) and the Armored Vehicles and Transports, represent groups of 3 to 5 vehicles with their corresponding crews.

Each hexagon on the map represents an approximate distance of 150 to 200 meters.

The scenarios are divided into turns that represent approximately 12-15 minutes of action.

Gameplay

The system emphasis of War Storm Series is based on command, with officers being the heart of the game.

These officers can activate units, coordinate with each other, lead missions of artillery, air support, smoke screens, modify morale checks, coordinate assaults and much more.

Another key point in the series is morale, which translates the effects of the leadership to the board and adds depth to the game, since the sections under our command will not be cardboard pieces that blindly obey orders, but it will be necessary to check morale to carry out actions that the soldiers may consider risky, such as starting an assault or crossing a barbed wire .

Board

The game uses isomorphic maps, each of which can be aligned with any of the two of the other maps. This allows for an almost unlimited number of combinations to represent any terrain situation, including player-designed scenarios.

Replayability

Beyond the interaction between the forces that dispute each scenario and the changing situations of a battle, War Storm Series implements a random system for the election of officers, which, together with the different capabilities of these, diversifies the gaming experience by undertaking each scenario.

Normandy, The Beginning of the End (2018)

Fourth installment of the series, constituting an independent title.

Recreates the events related to the Normandy landings and allows players to play at a tactical level the most important battles of D-Day from the American beaches to the suburbs of Saint Lò.

In the man Specific ual incorporates rules covering: landings, battalion officers, paratroopers, reconnaissance and amphibians, among others.

Add units such as Waffen SS, Fallschirmjäger and Free French Troops, apart from Rangers or paratroopers in the American side.

This title also incorporates a set of adapted rules very didactic, to facilitate the learning curve of the player who joins the series. In addition, it has a complete revised and updated regulation. It also has a point system to create your own battles, which makes the game highly replayable, no two games will be the same.
