Twilight Imperium: Rex

Since time immemorial, the Lazax have ruled the galaxy and its many races. But over time, the foundations of his empire began to crack with economic stagnation and growing mistrust. Abdications and conflicts spread slowly, like a disease heralding dark times to come.

The Board Game of Rex retells the epic fight for Mecatol Rex after the death of the last Emperor Lazax. In Rex, 3-6 players take on the role of galactic races with unique starting positions and special powers. Throughout the game, players will develop strategies to outmaneuver their opponents and control the most important districts of Mecatol Rex. They will have to use cunning negotiations and careful tactical planning if they are to succeed as they forge shaky alliances, amass armies, and unmask traitors.

As one empire falls apart, another rises to take its place . Will you seize dominance or bow to the power of others?

Whether you choose the route of negotiation or follow the path of all-out war, the fate of Mecatol Rex, and perhaps of the entire galaxy, it is in your hands.

Rex's gameplay is based on the original system that was first published in 1982 by Avalon Hill Game Company in the classic board game Dune, designed by Bill Eberle, Jack Kittredge and Peter Olotka (known for Cosmic Encounter).
