The Castles of Burgundy

The game is established in the Loire Valley of medieval France (15th century). As influential princes of Burgundy players strive to strategically trade and build their fiefs in order to expand them and make them flourish.

Each player assumes the role of an aristocrat, initially controlling a small fiefdom. During the game they build settlements and powerful castles, trade along the river, exploit silver mines and use the knowledge of travelers.

During the game, the players take tiles from the central board and place them in their fief, represented by individual boards. Each tile has a specific function that is unlocked when placed. The fief is composed of several regions, each of which requires a different type of tile. The game ends when the last player finishes his turn in the fifth round of the fifth phase. After counting the victory points, the player who has obtained the most will be the winner.

The Burgundy Castles is an exciting strategy game for 2 to 4 players, perfect for those looking for new challenges and hours of fun. Designed by Stefan Feld, it has been for years among the ten most valued games of the BGG.
