Revive

Relive civilization, 5000 years after everything was destroyed. Lead your tribe and explore the frozen land. Take advantage of your resources. Recruit surface survivors to your cause. Build factories with powerful machines. And populate ancient sites to relearn your tribe's forgotten technologies.

Revive is an asymmetric game for 1-4 players, variable setups and no direct interaction. Playing through the 5-part campaign unlocks additional content, and once all content has been unlocked, the game is replayable indefinitely.

At the start of the game, each player receives a set of citizen cards, a tribe board, and a huge two-layer player board. The tribe board displays your tribe's unique ability and ancient technologies that you can relearn during the game. The double layered player board is where you place your custom machines and upgrade their card slots.

The main objective of the game is to reach and populate the great ancient sites. These ancient locations are random, and since they are important sources of victory points, they will shape your strategy differently each game.

On your turn you perform two actions:

You play a card (its effect is determined by the card slot you use)

Explore (reveal an area tile and recruit a new citizen card)

Populate (populate an old location to learn a new technology)

Build factory (adjacent terrain determines which machine tracks you advance)

Also, you can use the power to activate any number of their machines, modifying their actions.

Instead of performing two actions, you can Hibernate. This will cycle your cards, moving your played cards to their rest area and returning the cards to you in their rest area. In addition, you recover the energy used, so you can activate your machines again.

Multipurpose cards play an important role: each card displays a resource ability (at the top) and a special ability (at the bottom). Playing a card to one of your top slots activates the resource action; In a lower slot you activate the special ability. You can install modules in the card slots, and these are activated every time you play a card of the same color. It is possible to find combinations that allow you to chain cards, activating various modules and abilities in a single action.

Construction factories harness the power of the surrounding terrain, advancing your marker on one of three machine tracks. This can unlock machines that can be activated using energy.

Reaching certain milestones allows you to take an artifact from the main board. Each artifact boosts one of the three scoring categories on your personal scorecard.

The game ends when all the artifacts have been taken and the player with the most points wins.
