Hipatia - Verkami Edition

Hipatia is a card game from where players put themselves in the shoes of helpers of Hipatia of Alexandria, the game that most helps the scientist and is able to survive the wrath of Patriarch Cyril will win the game.

Players will place a card on one of their four suits each turn; The Alexandrian school, the councils in the court of Orestes, the comments of the ancient texts and the study of astronomy and astrolabe. The objective is to have the most points in the different clubs at the end of the game.

In addition, each of the clubs has a special power assigned and when players lower a card to the table, they can use these skills to help each other on their way to victory.

Finally, the helpers of Hypatia should be careful with the hatred of Cyril, the Patriarch of Alexandria. He is confronted politically with the imperial prefect Orestes and will direct his anger towards collaborators like Hypatia, and by extension towards us. When players play high-value cards they take hate markers and if at the end of the game they are the player with the most hate, they will be eliminated.

Hipatia is a majority game that is played through a draft of cards and you will have to think carefully about your strategies so that you do not snatch victory at the last moment.
