In The Sheriff of Nottingham, players are cunning merchants who bribe and cheat the authority to get across the city walls. Each round, a new player will be the sheriff, looking for contraband. If the sheriff searches the merchandise of honest merchants he will be penalized, while if he catches a merchant smuggling into town, it will be that merchant who pays him a fine. This 2nd Edition includes rules for a sixth player, deputies, and the black market, so you can play high-stakes, high-reward games.
