A sinister corruption has spread across the four kingdoms, darkening the hearts of the once beloved kings, queens, and courtiers. As brave adventurers, you must cooperate to purge their darkness and for life to spring forth once more. To achieve this, players will use their cards, inspired by the French deck, to attack and defend. Ready to storm the castle, adventurers?

It will take you very little time to read the rules and start playing. To prepare the game, separate the kings (marked with the letter K, for its initial in English), shuffle them and stack them on the table. Next, repeat the operation with the queens (marked with the letter Q) and the courtiers or jacks (marked with the letter J) and put them on top. This will be the castle deck, which includes the 12 enemies to beat. Shuffle the rest of the cards, which include all the ones numbered from 2 to 10, the four aces, which represent animals that will help you throughout the game, and the jokers (which vary between 0, 1 and 2 depending on the number of cards). players that you are) to form the tavern deck. Deal cards from this last deck among the players (adjust the amount to the number of participants), turn over the top card of the castle deck and... let the assault begin!

On each turn, players will have to follow 4 easy steps. First, the active player must decide if he plays a card from his hand or if he passes; if he chooses to pass, he jumps directly to the last step, which is defending against the enemy attack. If you play a card, it is considered to attack using the numerical value of the card. The second step is to apply the power of the card, which is determined by the suit. Thus, hearts allow you to recycle discarded cards; diamonds, draw cards from the tavern deck; clubs double attack damage and pikes provide defense. The third step consists of attacking, applying the damage indicated by the numerical value and using the corresponding power. But beware! Enemies will be immune to the powers of the stick they represent... Not everything was going to be so easy! Finally, the last step is to defend against the enemy attack. To avoid damage, players must discard cards.

Managing your hand of cards well is vital to achieving victory in Regicide! But adventurers will also have help. Throughout the game you can use powerful combos, in which all players throw the same card simultaneously as long as the combined value does not add up to more than ten. In addition, you will have the help of animals, which will add the powers of the suits they represent to any other card, and of the jokers, which cancel the immunity of enemies. You will also have the help of the defeated kings, who will join your ranks once the darkness that clouded their judgment has been purged.

In Regicide games, camaraderie is vital, because if one of the adventurers runs out of cards and cannot defend against an attack, the game automatically ends in defeat. Plan the best strategies in fast and frenetic turns that will delight role-players, groups of friends and families willing to have a good time. It also has a solo mode, in case you want to embark on the path of the warrior without company. Swing your sword or raise your staff to challenge the darkness in the castles of the four kingdoms. The king is dead, long live the king!
