After hibernating for millennia, the runelord Karzoug awoke deep within the lost city of Xin-Shalast. Unable to turn away from the source of his power, he recruited the stone giant Mokmurian as his henchman, but Karzoug demanded more.

Enslaved giants were fit for war, but they lacked subtlety. Karzoug needed more subtle agents to provide both information about this world and souls to feed his return to its power. He beheld the monstrous creatures that had claimed parts of Xin-Shalast during his long sleep, and of all of them, it was the lamias with whom he forged the closest bond.

This book is the second part of the Adventure Path Rise of the Runelords, an epic six-part fantasy campaign, now adapted for Pathfinder for Savage Worlds.
