Álex de la Iglesia (director, screenwriter and film producer, as well as a veteran role-player) gives us his personal version of The Call of Cthulhu in the Roaring 20s with this adventure in which the investigators will have two days to stop the inexplicable phenomena that they haunt the most luxurious hotel in Cairo.

The macabre joke mixes free investigation with timed events so that the experience is different for each group and the replayability is increased. It also provides tools for the Guardian to locate and add randomness to the plot.

Researchers will be able to uncover buried secrets of ancient Egypt, attend a sumptuous costume party, see the premiere of Häxan (Witchcraft Through Ages), meet real world personalities (Howard Carter, King Fuad I of Egypt, the Aga Khan III, Benjamin Christensen, Agatha Christie, and Winston Churchill) and meet familiar faces from the Call of Cthulhu canon. Or they could miss all of this and find a different mystery to investigate.

The book includes:

Descriptions of the many main characters.
A chronology of events, step by step, and another from 1922.
Detailed description of the hotel, with more than thirty locations.
Sections with the relevant spells, artifacts, Mythos books and monsters.
Random lists with minor characters, rumors, and unexplained phenomena.
A drop-down diagram for the Guardian to locate non-player characters in time.
A drop-down map of the hotel for players.
