IONIC British and Commonwealth WWII Uniform

This set of 12 paints contains all the colors needed to paint the British and Commonwealth Army Battledress or No. 5 uniform, used in temperate theaters of war. The classic British uniform was made of cotton twill with a combination of brown and green fibers, resulting in a greenish-brown or khaki color that could vary from lighter to darker, greener to browner. To cover this variety, the set includes three khaki paints: a dark brown that also serves as a shade, and two khaki shades that can be used as a base, one greener and one browner. The webbing was also khaki, but a paste was applied to make it waterproof with green, resulting in a myriad of shades. To represent this further variation, the set includes two shades of greenish khaki, one lighter and one darker. The set also includes the paints needed to paint the British soldier's equipment, including the greenish steel helmet with burlap strips, the canteen, boots, and shovel. The set is completed with two shades for painting skin, which can be used as both a shade and a base, as well as a universal color for creating lighter tones and applying highlights, Vanilla. Although all of these colors can be used as such to paint each element of the figure, they can also be combined to create new colors or shades, especially to create volume by playing with light and shadow.
