SILVER SERIES Kolinsky Brush Set

The GSW Silver Series Kolinsky brush range. Expertly handcrafted with a high-quality wooden handle and a natural Kolinsky hair tip, fused together with a brass ferrule. For both amateurs and experts, the Silver Series Kolinsky brush range will provide a smooth and crisp painting experience.

Recommended for traditional painting, especially for fine techniques such as washes, glazes, inks, and creating gradients, generally with more diluted mediums. Not recommended for thinning or dry brush techniques as these can damage the tip. Kolinsky hair guarantees excellent water and paint absorption, as well as outstanding elasticity, making it a very technical brush.

By their nature, natural hair brushes require more care than synthetic hair brushes, as their deterioration leads to Loss of shape and breakage of the bristles. To increase their lifespan, it is important not to let paint residue dry between the bristles and to reshape them to a pointed point. We recommend using our Brush Repair Gel for this purpose. After painting, leave the brushes to rest pointing upwards to prevent the tips from becoming deformed.

It is not recommended to use Kolinsky brushes with oil paints, as the thinners and cleaners used in this type of paint quickly deteriorate the bristles.
