Formulated with ultra-fine pigments of the highest quality, these pearlescent metallic paints provide a truly amazing metallic effect, guaranteeing professional results even on small or highly detailed surfaces. Their coverage, combined with fast drying time, allows for comfortable and efficient work.

They can be combined with each other or with other paints and auxiliary products such as varnishes, although we recommend using gloss, satin, or our chrome varnish. They can also be combined with our Candy Inks range or our Interference or Metal Filters paint ranges:

• They can be used in conjunction with Candy Inks, due to their high transparency and brilliance, function as color filters on metallic surfaces, gems, crystals, or lights, allowing you to modify and enhance the base metallic tone without losing definition. By applying a very thin layer of ink over already painted metal, you can achieve unique color variations—intensifying reds, greens, blues, or intermediate shades—resulting in vibrant and profound visual effects.
• They can also be used in conjunction with the Metal Filters range, which, in turn, provide reflections that change depending on the angle of the light, generating pearlescent or iridescent sparkles that transform the metallic finish into something much more dynamic. This combination allows you to create striking special effects, from armor with shifting shimmers to details with an almost magical appearance, delivering results that stand out both on the tabletop and in a display case.

How should Vivid Metallic Paints be applied for best results?

As with most paints For metallic finishes, we strongly recommend priming the surface with black before applying the Vivid Metal Color series. A dark base coat helps the metallic pigments stand out much more clearly, increasing depth, contrast, and visual intensity. This is especially important with Vivid Metallic shades, as the black base makes the colors appear more intense, brilliant, and dramatic, while preserving the reflective quality of the finish.

• For brush application, it is best to apply 3 to 4 thin coats, gradually building up the pigment to achieve the desired color intensity. Working in thin layers produces a smoother, cleaner finish and allows the metallic effect to develop progressively without obscuring surface details. Allow each coat to dry before applying the next, and avoid heavy applications, as several light coats will always give a more attractive and controlled result.
• For application with For airbrushing, the paint should be thinned slightly before use, and it is also recommended to create the effect with several light layers rather than one thick coat. This makes it very easy to use. For dry brushing, always start with a black base coat, as this will make the metallic pigments appear much brighter and more spectacular in the raised areas. Load only a small amount of paint onto a dry brush, remove the excess with a paper towel, and then lightly brush over the surface so that the color only adheres to the edges, textures, and smallest details. This technique creates a very vivid and striking metallic highlight effect, making it especially effective for armor, machinery, scenery, weapons, and decorative elements, while preserving shadows and adding strong contrast with minimal effort.
