Atalanta (classical Greek: ????????, Atalantê, “In balance”) is a figure from Greek mythology. Abandoned as a baby on a mountain by her father, the king, to die, she was raised by a bear. Consecrated to the goddess Artemis, she stood out as one of the most remarkable hunters of ancient times. Atalanta killed two centaurs who tried to rape her, she also participated in the hunt for the Calydonian boar, being the first to shed its blood and, according to some authors, she was part of the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece.
Notes from Aedo Tamiris for the SSS Information Service: “If Penthesilea is intense fire, Atalanta is pure ice. The face of the Snow Queen in a lovely body, but with the warmth of an iceberg. It's great to have her behind you in combat, cleaning up the battlefield, but she's pure poison if you want to throw a party. My honest opinion of her is that she is one uptight vixen, who keeps everyone in the crosshairs of her visor, and at a distance equal to the length of the barrel of her rifle…” Like all Agêma, Atalanta has been designed to be an exceptional marksman, but in her case, her capabilities far exceed the average for the unit. Her incredible aim and ability to calculate distances and compensate for environmental factors, such as wind speed or gravitational pull, reinforced by the Spotbot that always accompanies her, have made her a living legend in the Assault Subsection. Despite not being a Recreation, her extraordinary skills as a marksman and her prowess in combat have given Atalanta a place of honor among Achilles' Homeridae. Even today, they all remember with joy the time he used the unconscious body of Patroclus as bait, to eliminate any enemy who tried to get close to him, causing numerous casualties among the Morat troops. Atalanta may act like a prima donna who prefers to operate from afar, and doesn't like to get her hands dirty, but all Homeridans agree that she knows how to dish out death when the going gets tough. Atalanta seems to live in a different time than the world around her. This is reflected in a cold and distant personal attitude, a quality very useful in combat, where she is never overtaken by events. However, this attitude is also a barrier that keeps her apart from the other Homeridae. It may just be a personality trait linked to her outstanding tactical qualities… or there may be something hidden behind that icy façade of hers… with permission”, disappearing for a while without giving any explanation. The rest of the Homeridae suspect that the archer par excellence of the team performs black operations, non-existent, directly for ALEPH. However, every time Atalanta has been asked about this question, they have been met with an icy silence as the only answer... There is an unsolved mystery in this icy sniper, because, even if her extracurricular operations were confirmed, that would not solve the mystery. real question: Is there more to Atalanta than we think we're seeing, beyond just being the AI's private enforcer? And, above all… what is the true nature of your bond with ALEPH?
