Line Kazaks

The Line Kazaks are the body of light infantry that forms the main line of defense of the isolated Ariadna stanitsas. In these units the predominant ethnic group is the kazaki (Cossack) so the general rule is the Russian-Cossack tradition. The Cossack infantryman is sturdy, demanding, somewhat reckless and boasts a convinced fatalism, although the characteristic that best defines him is his physical preparation. They may not be as well equipped as their counterparts in other armies, but they are perfectly trained, do their job and know the terrain. The Line Kazaks perform all the unpleasant tasks that do not correspond to the elite of Veterans or to the bodies of volunteer militiamen. The Cossacks follow the rigorous training of the border units, applying the maxim: "Professionalism and Dexterity equals Dignity". Line troops consider themselves the true elite and, of course, when things get ugly, they do more than their fair share.
