Thomas? Tommy? Elliot, also known as Silencio, is possibly one of the worst enemies and, at the same time, Batman's oldest friend.

Bruce and Tommy used to share a lot of children's time, playing strategy games with miniatures together , where Tommy taught Bruce more than one lesson.

However, things would turn dark, when the attempted murder of his parents is frustrated by Bruce and his father, who quickly intervene, managing to save his mother.

After the event, Tommy left Bruce.

Tommy took the Silence costume, which was originally a joke about how to hide his true identity, and used his great intellect to involve many other players trying to take down Batman once and for all.

Every time Batman stopped the Silence schemes, he returned again with more elaborate and deceptive plans including villains like the Joker, Poison Ivy and Clayface.
It even went as far as to use his own skills as a plastic surgeon, looking to look like Bruce, to take his fortune.
