Skat is the most popular card game in Germany for three or four players and was invented around 1820 in Altenburg, the town of skat. The German sheet, played especially in Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, was developed in Altenburg and enjoys great popularity. With the traditional cornflower back, the game is packed in 59x91 mm on 32 sheets in a plastic case.
