Sleuth is a fascinating detective game for 3 to 7 players. By skillfully questioning the other players, each player receives clues that, with the help of logical thinking and skillful reasoning, lead to the identity of the missing gem!

In "Sleuth" the dealer shuffles the gem stack and removes a card that he likes placed so that no player can accidentally see them. This is the missing gem.

The remaining gem cards are dealt evenly among the players. Any remaining cards are placed face up.

Each gem card has three characteristics: gem (diamond, pearl, or opal), color (red, yellow, blue, or green), and type (solitaire, pair, or cluster.) Players use search cards to find out what their opponents are holding - when e.g., a player has the "Blue Opals" Search card, he may require any other single player to show him all blue opals in hand.Other search cards have only one characteristic "trait" of a gemstone - e.g., only opals or only blue ones. With these cards, the questioned player only has to announce the number of these cards that he has in his hand. He does not have to reveal the cards himself.

The game continues until one player thinks he has solved the puzzle. He writes down his guess and checks the missing gem. If correct, the player reveals the card and wins the game! If not, that player is now out of the game, the other players continue to search for the missing gem."
