The valley of death

Death Valley National Park is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Document the journey of this wonderful desert landscape in a scrapbook, highlighting its most iconic places and animals, but beware of extreme heat and other dangers that lie in wait!
Death Valley is a game for 2 players by Kevin Ellenburg where players assume the role of adventurers who have to document a dangerous journey through this wonderful enclave. With mechanics of forcing luck and board construction, in each turn you must assign a card to your trip or your scrapbook taking into account the effects of each card and avoiding dying in the attempt.
Players will complete their Journey and Scrapbook over the turns. On each turn, the active player chooses one of the following actions:
Travel: Choose one of the two Desert cards (face up or face down) and add it face up to their Travel row.
Rest: move a card from your Travel row to your Scrapbook row, allowing you to hide cards from your Travel row under that same card, or choose to return any number of cards from your Travel row to the deck and shuffle.
Some cards have abilities that modify actions and add additional effects.
Players will take turns performing actions until the "desert deck" is finished. Each player scores the stars in their Travel zone and the victory condition cards in their Scrapbook.
The game includes the Panamint City expansion and solitaire mode
This expansion adds 6 new danger cards that add more complexity to the game
