Castlevania Symphony of the Night, the popular side-scrolling action adventure video game first published in 1997 on the PlayStation platform by Konami, follows our protagonist, Alucard, the son of Dracula, as he sets out to defeat the evil forces that have taken over the castle.

As Alucard encounters Richter Belmont for the first time in the game, he is forced to face a horde of demons as Richter was under the impression that Alucard was here to steal the castle from him.
