These paint mixing balls have a special coating that prevents them from rusting after contact with the paint. They are not magnetic, but can be attracted to magnets.

Warning about the use of stainless steel mixing balls in paint cans

The stainless steel balls used in our products are made of SS316L steel, a high-quality alloy recognized for its high resistance to corrosion, even in Harsh environments such as seawater or chloride-rich environments. Therefore, it offers significantly superior performance compared to other metal balls on the market.

However, as with any stainless steel, the protective outer layer against oxidation can deteriorate over time due to various factors. Prolonged exposure to certain chemical agents can accelerate this process. In particular, use with solvent-based paints tends to reduce the lifespan of the steel, while use with water-based paints, such as acrylics, contributes to greater durability. For this reason, we recommend replacing the balls every 6–8 years, depending on the type of paint used and storage conditions.

To ensure product longevity and prevent further damage, do not put more than one ball per container. Impact between balls can damage the surface and promote corrosion.
