Carving Foam 10mm

Rigid phenolic foam with a density of 10 pcf (or 160 kg/m³) specifically designed for 3D design, sculpting, and the making of models and scenery. This low-memory foam can be easily cut with a craft knife or hobby saw, as well as textured and carved in great detail simply by pressing any object onto the surface, creating any type of structure such as buildings, walls, pavements, etc.
Thanks to its excellent chemical resistance, it can be glued with white glue, Tuft glue, hot glue guns, and cyanoacrylate adhesives.
It can be painted with any type of paint, water-based or solvent-based.
The tiny granules of the foam itself can be sealed with a layer of white glue diluted or simply with a coat of primer.

WARNINGS:

- Hot wire cutting tools do not work with phenolic foams because they are heat resistant up to 300ºF (or 150ºC).
- After cutting any phenolic foam, it is important to clean all metal tools to prevent long-term corrosion.
- Due to the complexity of laminating this material, and despite every effort to adjust it as closely as possible, the thickness may not be exact, with variations of 0 to 1 mm.
