Water-Based Decals

This set includes 2 sheets of full-color, opaque decals with a high level of detail. The decals should be applied with water; no solvent is required. You can also use a small amount of GSW Decal Softener and GSW Decal Fixative to enhance and protect the finish on uneven or rough surfaces.

Each decal sheet contains a wide variety of graffiti in different sizes and shapes, allowing you to customize your battlefield, build, or diorama.

BASIC INSTRUCTIONS
1. Cut out the decal as close as possible to the outer edge of the image. For best results, we recommend using a new blade.
2. Pick up the decal with tweezers and soak it in water for about 20 seconds. Using warm water can help with this process.
3. Apply the decal to your model using a brush to gently push it off the transfer paper and place it on your model. That's all, folks!

ADVANCED INSTRUCTIONS
4. Before applying it to your model, once the decal has soaked for a sufficient time, apply a small amount of GSW Decal Fixer to the surface where you plan to place the decal. GSW Decal Fixer will prime the area, leaving a smooth finish that will help prevent and conceal the decal's outline, as well as protect the painted area. From underneath. If you find it difficult to move the decal on your model to get the exact position, you can add a little more GSW Decal Fixer or just water, which will help the decal float on the surface until it can be positioned correctly. 5. If the surface where you want to apply the flat decal is curved, such as a shoulder pad, wrinkles may form on the decal. To avoid this, once the decal is in place, apply GSW Decal Softener. Let the decal softener work, removing the wrinkles and adjusting the decal to the surface underneath. Repeat this step 2-3 times until the wrinkles are completely gone. Remove any excess liquid using a cotton swab. Roll the swab over the decal so it doesn't lift or shift out of position. You can also use absorbent paper to press down on the decal with a rolling motion, removing any excess liquid. When using GSW Decal Softener, you won't need to... 6. Finally, apply GSW Decal Fixer again to the decal and the surface of the model we have been working on to unify the surface. Add matte or gloss varnish if you deem it necessary to remove or add a glossy finish.
