Textured roller for spreading and shaping all types of putties, clays, and pastes. Made of non-stick, transparent PMMA plastic. Non-toxic.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Thoroughly mix the sculpting putty/clay until ready to use according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

2. Spread the putty/clay onto the surface to be textured. For best results, even out and smooth the Surface properly before applying the rollers. For this, it is recommended to use a smooth roller for this purpose.

3rd Depending on the type of material being used, it may be advisable to dampen the roller, or use modeling petroleum jelly, to prevent sticking.

4th Roll slowly, applying the same pressure at all points to obtain a similar texture.

5th Trim off the excess putty/clay. It is recommended to do this once the putty/clay has dried.

MATERIALS:

There are countless putties and clays on the market and all of them can be textured by applying the appropriate technique.

Generally, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey polymer clay) are quite easy to work with using these rollers and allow for easy correction of mistakes since they do not dry until they are baked. If the goal is to create For textured bases, we recommend using MDF wood bases, as it's possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base and then bake everything, base included. The baking time for clays is 15 minutes at 150ºC. The MDF wood will leave a smell similar to toast, but it won't burn. In the case of epoxy putties, there are more differences and more techniques to achieve similar results. The good thing is that they don't need to be baked and can be applied directly onto plastic materials. For green epoxy putty (Green Stuff), which is especially sticky, you'll need to dampen the rollers with a little water. You can also reduce the stickiness of this putty by applying talcum powder or, for best results, a little modeling petroleum jelly. Other epoxy putties like Milliput are also suitable, but we recommend not over-wetting them, as this makes them difficult to work with. Furthermore, if the mixture is too wet... Sticky. It's best to continue kneading until it becomes less sticky.

It is very important to clean the rollers properly after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After working with the rollers, if any material remains on the design, clean with the Scratch brushes and plenty of water.
