INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mix the components of the sculpting putty/clay until ready to use according to the manufacturer's recommendations.
2. Spread onto the surface to be textured. For best results, even out and smooth the surface properly before using the rollers. A smooth roller is helpful for this step.
3. Depending on the type of material, it may be advisable to dampen the roller or use modeling petroleum jelly to prevent sticking. glued.
4. Roll slowly, applying the same pressure at all points to obtain a similar texture.
5. Trim off any excess once the putty/clay has dried.

MATERIALS:

All putties and clays on the market can be textured by applying the appropriate technique.

Generally, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey polymer clay) are quite easy to work with using these rollers and allow for correcting mistakes because they only dry in the oven. If the goal is to create textured bases, using MDF bases is the most suitable because it is possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base, and then put everything in the oven, base included. It should bake for 15 minutes at a temperature of 150ºC. This wood will smell like toast, but it will not burn.

In the case of the While epoxy putties are suitable, other techniques exist to achieve similar results due to their characteristics. In this case, baking is not necessary, and they can be applied directly to plastic materials.

In the case of two-component green putty (Green Stuff), which is especially sticky, it will be necessary to dampen the rollers with a little water. The stickiness of this putty can also be reduced by applying talcum powder or, for best results, a little petroleum jelly.

Other epoxy putties, such as Milliput-type putty, are also suitable. However, we recommend not over-wetting it to avoid making it difficult to work with. Furthermore, if the mixture is too sticky, it is best to continue kneading until its stickiness is reduced.

After using this type of putty, it is very important to properly clean the rollers.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After finishing working with the rollers, if any material residue remains on the stamped surface, It is mandatory to clean it using the Scratch brushes and plenty of water.
