  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)

USE:

1st Thoroughly mix the putty/clay until ready according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Spread the putty/clay onto the surface to be textured. For best results, smooth and even out the surface properly before applying the rollers. For this, it is recommended to use a smooth roller.

3. Depending on the type of material being used, it may be advisable to dampen the roller with water, or use modeling petroleum jelly, to prevent sticking.

4. Roll slowly, applying the same pressure at all times to obtain a consistent texture.

5. Trim off any excess putty/clay once the material is dry.

MATERIALS:

There are many types of putties and sculpting clays on the market, and all of them can be textured by applying the appropriate technique.

Therefore, In general, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey) are quite easy to work with using these rollers and allow for easy correction of mistakes, as they don't dry until baked. If the goal is to create textured bases, we recommend using MDF bases, as it's possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base and then bake everything, base included. The baking time for clays is 15 minutes at 150ºC. The MDF will leave a smell similar to toasted bread, but it won't burn. For epoxy putties, there are more differences and more techniques to achieve similar results. The good thing is that they don't need to be baked and can be applied directly onto plastic materials. In the case of Green Stuff, which is especially sticky, you'll need to dampen the rollers with a little water. You can also reduce the stickiness of this putty by applying talcum powder or, for best results, A little modeling petroleum jelly.

Other types of epoxy putty, such as Milliput epoxy compound, are also suitable, but we recommend not over-wetting them as this makes them difficult to work with. Furthermore, if the mixture is too sticky, it's best to continue kneading until it becomes less sticky.

With this type of putty, it's essential to properly clean the rollers after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After finishing with the rollers, if any material remains on the design, clean with special Scratch brushes and plenty of water.

SAFETY:

These tools should not be used by children without adult supervision.
