ELDAR Textured Roller

The textured roller allows you to work detailed textures on putties, clays, and modeling pastes with great precision. It is made of transparent PMMA plastic with non-stick properties. Safe and non-toxic material.

Roller Size:

  • Length: 14.5 cm (5.5 inches) ** Extended version with texture across the entire surface of the roller.
  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the putty or clay according to the manufacturer's instructions, kneading until you obtain an optimal consistency.
  2. Spread the material onto the base to be textured. For best results, ensure the surface is as level as possible. At this point, it may be helpful to first use a smooth roller to smooth it.
  3. Depending on the type of putty, it may be advisable to dampen the roller or apply a small amount of modeling petroleum jelly to prevent the material from sticking.
Roll the tool with consistent pressure, ensuring you cover the entire surface with the same intensity.
  4. Remove any excess once the product has completely hardened.

MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY:

These rollers can be used on a wide variety of materials.

Polymer clays such as Super Sculpey are particularly suitable, as they can be worked on without worrying about drying, since they only harden when baked. If working on MDF wood bases, it is possible Bake the entire piece without disassembling it. The recommended baking time is 15 minutes at 150°C. The MDF wood will emit a smell similar to toast, but it will not be damaged.

In the case of epoxy putties, such as green stuff, it's important to keep in mind their high level of adhesion. To prevent the material from sticking to the roller, it's advisable to lightly wet the tool. You can also apply a little talcum powder or, preferably, petroleum jelly to facilitate the process.

On the other hand, Milliput putty is perfectly compatible, although it's recommended not to add too much water during application, as this can affect its workability. If you notice that the mixture is sticking more than usual, it's best to continue kneading until you achieve a firmer texture.

*** Don't forget to clean the roller after working with this type of putty to prevent residue from affecting the texture.

CLEANING:

If any residue remains inside the roller's engraving after use, wash it with water and use the Scratch Brushes to completely remove the residue.

SAFE USE:

These rollers are not recommended for use by children without direct adult supervision.
