Textured Cobblestone Roller 15mm

The textured roller is a practical and versatile tool for imprinting designs on different types of putties, clays, and modeling pastes. It is made of PMMA, a transparent acrylic plastic with a non-stick finish, non-toxic and very easy to clean.

Product Measurements:

  • Length: 14.50 cm (5.5 inches)
  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)
  • Design Size: 1-4 mm (stones with varying sizes)
  • Recommended Scales: 1/144 - 1/100 - 1/72 (miniatures 12-15-20 mm)

HOW TO INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Knead the putty or clay until it has a smooth, even texture. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for the product you are using.
  2. Apply the material to the desired surface and spread it evenly. The smoother the base, the better the final result. For this step, it is ideal to use a smooth roller first.
  3. Depending on the material, you may need to dampen the roller or apply a thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly to prevent sticking.
  4. Roll the roller with steady, even motions and pressure to transfer the design cleanly.
  5. Wait for the material to harden before removing excess or making precise cuts.

COMPATIBILITY WITH MATERIALS:

This roller is compatible with a wide range of products.

Clays Polymer clays like Super Sculpey are highly recommended, as they allow for adjustments while working. Since they don't harden until baked, you can sculpt at your leisure. If you're using MDF wood bases, you can apply the clay directly onto them and bake the whole thing (15 minutes at 150°C). MDF wood doesn't burn, although it may give off a slight odor during baking. As for epoxy putties, they require some care. Green stuff has a very sticky texture. To work with it comfortably, you can lightly dampen the rolling pin or apply a small amount of petroleum jelly. Sprinkling a little talcum powder can also be helpful. With Milliput putty, avoid excess water, as this can make it difficult to handle. If it's too sticky, simply continue kneading until you achieve the right consistency. *** It's advisable to clean the rolling pin immediately after use, especially with putties. Epoxy.

CLEANING:

Use water and Scratch brushes to remove any residue that may remain in the grooves of the design. This will keep the tool in perfect condition.

SAFETY:

This product should not be used by children without the supervision of a responsible adult.
