Textured Cobblestone Roller

The textured roller is a perfect tool for applying relief details to surfaces worked with putties, clays, or modeling pastes. It is made of transparent PMMA, an acrylic plastic with non-stick properties, durable and completely harmless.

Product Dimensions:

  • Length: 14.5 cm (5.5 inches)
  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)
  • Pattern Size: 2x5 mm (stones with varying sizes)
  • Recommended Scales: 1/35 - 1/43 - 1/48 - 1/76

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

  1. Knead the putty or clay well until you obtain a uniform mixture, always following The manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Place the material on the base you wish to texture, spreading it evenly. To properly prepare the surface, it is advisable to use a smooth roller beforehand.
  3. If the material is very sticky, apply water or a light layer of modeling petroleum jelly to the roller to prevent it from sticking.
  4. Roll over it, applying firm and constant pressure to achieve a uniform texture.
  5. Wait for the material to harden before trimming the edges and defining the final outline.

COMPATIBILITY WITH PUTTY AND CLAY:

This roller is suitable for different types of modeling products.

Polymer clays like Super Sculpey are easy to work with, as they do not harden until baked. If you wish to create a decorated base, you can work directly on MDF wood bases, which withstand baking without deteriorating. Simply bake Bake the piece for 15 minutes at 150°C; MDF wood may emit a slight odor, but it does not burn.

With epoxy putties, such as green stuff, it is important to take precautions: their high adhesion requires wetting the roller or applying a small amount of petroleum jelly for modeling. Talcum powder can also be used to facilitate the work.

Milliput putty can also be used with good results. However, the amount of water must be controlled, as excess can hinder modeling. If the mixture feels too sticky, simply continue working it until a suitable consistency is achieved.

*** After using epoxy putties, it is essential to clean the roller thoroughly.

ROLLER CARE:

Wash the roller with water after each use and use scratch brushes to remove any residue accumulated in the raised areas of the design.

SAFETY:

The use of this product by minors without adult supervision is not recommended.
