Textured Cobblestone Roller

Textured rollers for rolling out and shaping all types of putties, clays, and pastes. Made of transparent, non-stick PMMA plastic. Non-toxic.

The textured roller is ideal for creating reliefs and patterns on putties, clays, and modeling pastes. It is made of transparent PMMA plastic, a resistant, non-toxic material with non-stick properties that facilitate its handling.

Measurements:

  • Length: 14.5 cm (5.5")
  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1")
  • Pattern Size: 5x10 mm (stones with varying sizes)
  • Recommended Scales: 1/22 - 1/32 - 1/35 - 1/43 - 1/48

RECOMMENDED USE:

  1. Knead or prepare the putty or clay according to the manufacturer's instructions until it reaches the right consistency.
  2. Spread the putty onto the surface you want to texture, making sure it is smooth and level. To make the job easier, it is recommended to use a smooth roller first.
  3. If the material tends to stick, lightly dampen the roller or apply a thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly.
  4. Roll the roller, applying even pressure to achieve a consistent texture.
  5. Once the putty has hardened or dried, trim off the excess with the appropriate tools.

COMPATIBLE MATERIALS:

This roller is suitable for various putties and clays.

Polymer clays, such as Super Sculpey, allow you to work without pre-drying and baking. to harden. If you are using MDF wood bases, these can be placed in the oven along with the piece for 15 minutes at 150°C. MDF wood withstands heat well, although it may give off a slight odor.

For epoxy putties, the technique is different. Green stuff is sticky, so it is advisable to wet the roller or use petroleum jelly to reduce stickiness. Talcum powder can also be used.

Milliput putty is compatible, but avoid over-wetting it. If it is very sticky, continue kneading until the texture improves.

*** Cleaning the rollers after use is key to maintaining detail and durability.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

Wash the roller with water after each use. For stubborn residue, Scratch brushes are perfect for thorough cleaning.

CAUTIONS:

Not recommended for children without adult supervision.
