The textured roller is an essential tool for imprinting patterns and textures on putties, clays, and modeling pastes. It is made of transparent PMMA plastic, a durable, non-toxic, and non-stick material that facilitates artistic work.

USAGE GUIDE:

1. Mix or knead the putty or clay until it is ready to mold, following the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Spread the material onto the desired surface, ensuring it is smooth and even. It is recommended to smooth it beforehand with a smooth roller for best results.
3. To prevent the putty from sticking to the roller, dampen it or apply a light coat of modeling petroleum jelly.
4. Roll the roller over the surface with consistent pressure to create the desired texture.
5. Once the material has hardened or dried, carefully remove any excess.

COMPATIBLE MATERIALS:

This roller is suitable for a wide variety of putties and clays.

Polymer clays such as Super Sculpey do not harden until baked, making adjustments easier. When working on MDF wood bases, you can bake the piece and the base together for 15 minutes at 150°C (300°F). MDF holds up well to heat, although it may give off a slight odor.

For epoxy putties, the technique varies. Green stuff is very sticky, so it is recommended to wet the roller or use Modeling petroleum jelly can be used to reduce sticking. Talcum powder can also be used.

Milliput putty is suitable for texturizing, but it is advisable not to over-wet it. If it is very sticky, continue kneading until the texture improves.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After use, clean the roller with plenty of water. If stubborn residue remains, use the Scratch brushes for a thorough cleaning.
