Textured Roller

The textured roller is designed to create detailed textures on putties, clays, and modeling pastes. It is made of transparent, durable, non-stick, and non-toxic PMMA plastic, perfect for modelers and artists.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

1. Knead or mix the putty or clay until you obtain a suitable consistency according to the manufacturer's instructions.
2. Spread the material onto the surface you want to texture, making sure it is as smooth as possible. For this purpose, it is helpful to use a smooth roller beforehand.
3. If the Putty is very sticky, so lightly dampen the roller or apply a thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly. Roll with steady, even pressure to etch the texture. When the material is dry or hardened, remove the excess by trimming it. MATERIAL COMPATIBILITY: The roller works with a wide variety of putties and clays. Polymer clays such as Super Sculpey are easy to work with and don't harden until baking, allowing for modifications. If you're using MDF wood bases, you can bake the piece and the base together for 15 minutes at 150°C. MDF will withstand the heat well, although it may release a slight odor. With epoxy putties, the procedure is different. Green stuff is quite sticky, so it's advisable to dampen the roller or apply a little modeling petroleum jelly. You can also use powders of Talc to reduce sticking.

   Milliput putty also allows for texturizing, although it's best not to over-wet it. If it's too sticky, keep kneading until it improves.

   CLEANING:

   Wash the roller with water after use. To remove stubborn residue, use the Scratch brushes.
