If you're using MDF wood bases, you can apply the clay directly to the base and bake everything together (150°C, 15 minutes). The MDF wood will hold up without problems, although it may give off a slight odor when heated.

For epoxy putties, it's important to adapt the technique. The putty The green stuff is quite sticky, so it's advisable to wet the roller or apply a little petroleum jelly. Talcum powder can also be used to reduce stickiness.

Milliput putty also works well with this type of roller. It's best not to over-wet it, as this can make the work more difficult. If you find it's too soft or sticky, continue kneading until its consistency improves.

*** Remember to clean the rollers when finished, especially if they have been used with epoxy putties.
