For years, Musashi wandered around Kagejima studying, debating, and fighting with teachers from every school he could find. After a few years, he understood that he should not continue seeking mastery of the sword, but rather he should seek mastery of himself; and, since the tool no longer mattered, he abandoned his weapon in favor of a pair of huge oars. Now he travels looking for himself and perfecting the art of wooden paddles.
