Captain Rick Harrison will face a difficult case to solve.

An influential lawyer has been brutally murdered miles above the surface of the earth. The investigation will be carried out by Captain Rick Harrison, who will travel from the hypertrophic megalopolis of New Angeles to the distant lunar base of Heinlein. There he must search for clues among a gallery of bioroids, clones and dissatisfied human workers uncooperative.

Harrison realizes that he is involved in a tremendous conspiracy, ever deeper and more mysterious. Difficult questions invade him: Why did the murderer use a mining laser for his crime, a weapon difficult to handle even in microgravity? What is the connection between the victim and a powerful anti-droid lobbyist? And the toughest question Harrison has ever faced: what does it really mean to be human?
