The Dee Sanction is an RPG loosely based on historical events and personalities. As the player, you play the role of a specific character (player character) - an agent of Dee - in the story. As Game Moderator, you set the scene, direct the story, play the role of Non-Player Characters, and maintain order using the rules of this game. The basic rules of The Dee Sanction offer you a set of simple mechanics to carry out intriguing investigations and missions against a quasi-historical backdrop in Europe. The stories play with the feel and meaning of the story instead of clinging to every detail; remember that the game should be entertaining for everyone. In this version of the story, magic exists, and with it, the possibility for angels to speak to those who understand them. However, technology and medicine still reside in the realms of woodblock printing and the search for balance of the elemental humors. Players are agents working under the auspices of Decree Dee to prevent supernatural and magical threats. The Agents are ordinary people with a tarnished history, who are offered the opportunity to suspend their execution and correct the mistakes of the past. When an Agent does something that threatens his life or his progress, the Player rolls a Die to determine the result.
