The Slaughterhouse is a very special adventure by Andrés Ramos for two to four players set in the 1920s. It is special because it mixes the mystery and dark conspiracy of the Cthulhu Mythos with the hard and fast-paced life of the Mafia genre. And he does it in a way that is as fun as it is terrifying.
No one better than Andrés Ramos to do it. Author of multiple adventures for The Call of Cthulhu and Pulp Cthulhu, some of them with Shadowlands, such as The Unknown and Hidden Corp I. In addition, he is co-author of the role-playing game Omertá, the power of the mafia, in which Andrés Ramos offers everything the taste of the mafia world of the 20s and 30s in a masterful adaptation exercise.
The slaughterhouse unites these two passions. This adventure takes place in Chicago and Dearborn between 1924 and 1926. The player characters are agents of the Italian Mafia who are tasked with finding out what is happening to their workers. That leads them to the factories of Henry Ford where they will realize that the thugs of their enemies are nothing compared to the threat of a dark cult and the dangerous power of an ancient god related to the Cthulhu Mythos.
There, they face the horrible truth. Terrible things are happening inside a slaughterhouse and only our protagonists seem to have the guts to try to put an end to this madness.
