Merry outlaws

A role-playing game of ballads, legends and justice. Put yourself in the role of an Outlaw fighting to end corruption in 13th century England and become part of the ballads of English folklore.

Merry Outlaws is a game of legends, ballads and justice, set in the 13th century. Robin Hood is dead and corruption continues to run rampant. As players, you play outlaws, with their own gang, who forge their legacy as warriors of justice, fighting the corrupt and distributing wealth to those most in need.

A game director and 2 to 5 players will live adventures typical of classic cinema and adventure literature, in the purest cinemascope style.

The game system is light, based on d6 rolls, with degrees of success (unmodified). Character creation is very fast. The ethical code stands out, which marks the personality of the outlaw, and the skills, which give advantages for certain actions. With experience you gain skills. To be elusive with death, in addition to resistance points, outlaws have "destiny coins", which will allow them to recover from wounds or repeat death rolls.

One of the most unique characteristics of the game is that the characters, with their exploits, seek to become part of English folklore, like Robin Hood. To do this, after each adventure (called here "stanzas"), the players will write a stanza of 4 verses recounting their adventures. If they survive 10 adventures, the 10 stanzas will form a ballad that tells the stories of their heroism and will be remembered for generations.

The edition and layout pays tribute to the first edition of the work of Robin Hood by author Louis Rhead. The manual is accompanied by an adventure map (in foldable A3 format), with Sherwood Forest and the surrounding regions, which recreates the best-known adventures of Robin Hood, and which will serve as inspiration and a place of adventure for your games.
