Cel Shading Brushes - Medium

Cel Shading brushes are specially designed for painting miniatures and anime-style figures using flat shading techniques. This technique, based on the cel shading of Japanese animation, aims to represent light and shadow with well-defined blocks of color, without blending or smooth transitions, to achieve a visual effect similar to a 2D illustration on a 3D figure.

The main feature of these brushes is their extremely fine and elongated tip. Thanks to this shape, they allow for a greater paint load and a continuous, precise, and stable stroke. This greatly facilitates tasks such as outlining contours, applying flat shadows, highlighting facial expressions, and marking details with great control, without the bristles deforming during the process.

They are especially suitable for painting styles such as anime shading and toon painting, where a clean and graphic finish is essential. Their design meets the needs of those seeking a stylized result, with crisp lines and no imperfections, mimicking the visual language of comics and animation.

In addition to their use on anime figures, Cel Shading brushes are also very useful in glass painting, a technique that consists of painting on smooth, non-porous surfaces such as glass or acetate. In this context, their precision allows for the effortless application of flat color and defined strokes, making them a versatile tool for artists working in modeling, illustration, or mixed media.
