Frost Effect (Pack of 20)

Liquid Frost is a saline acrylic solution that simulates frost through the crystallization of salts. Its application and the result depend on external factors such as humidity, temperature, and the surface to which it is applied. It imitates frost on trees, flowers, crystals, and other crystalline formations. To apply it, it is recommended to shake the bottle, apply the product with a dropper or brush, and let it dry for 4 to 24 hours. Additional layers can be added, reactivating the crystallization process.

When using an airbrush, do not apply very thin layers, as the crystals will not form properly. Although it can be diluted with water, this weakens the crystals. It is important to avoid applying it to porous materials that have not been previously sealed. To strengthen the crystals, cyanoacrylate glue can be used, although excessive use can generate toxic fumes. Furthermore, it is crucial to avoid contact with acrylic paints or varnishes, as the crystals could melt or weaken.

Crystals must be tinted by capillary action to preserve their structure.

This product contains 17 ml and is ideal for achieving realistic frost effects on models and dioramas.
