It's about money, a lot of money, and here and there you help your relatives, but be careful, nasty pranks and gestures also beckon from the blood relatives corner. Players have cards that can make the money pot in the middle bigger or smaller. These include profane plus and minus cards, but also special cards that reverse the value for a fellow player or steal cards played by fellow players. As you can already tell, the game is nasty. The most important element here is that two passes can be made. Why twice? Well, this makes for a nice trick. The players always play one card each, but whoever passed for the first time last receives another card. This means that you think twice about passing when you can theoretically still play. Because the card is actually attractive, you don't have that much choice and if you pass earlier in order not to play your good cards yet, you miss your chance of getting a new one. If you want, you can also pass twice. But why should someone do that, you ask. Well, if you immediately pass twice, nothing can happen to you. You can no longer get nasty cards, you will no longer be robbed and so you are probably well out of the round. This is only how you play in the base game, though, because if the players want to play a nasty round, you can drop this rule. HARHAR. As mentioned, the players simply play a card in the middle on their turn and the color is important here, because you only play one type of color per round, which the starting player determines. Before playing the first card, there is still a negotiation phase in which the boss decides whether or not to choose his two cousins. He allows himself to be bribed for this and only those who have a cousin tile in front of them or one or more 'A piece of the cake' card actually get paid out. If all players have passed, it is checked whether the sum in the middle is positive or negative and then it is multiplied. Now boss and cousins receive their money or hand it over, depending on how the sum turns out and whether you have one +/- card in front of you or several. After that, a new round begins with new maps and a new boss.
