cosmic horror descends on the museum! Ever since it opened, the Arkham Museum has attracted visitors from around the world with its unrivaled collection of ancient artifacts and exotic curiosities. But in 1926, unspeakable horrors beyond our dimension threaten to invade our world through these artifacts, wiping out humanity once and for all. The clock strikes midnight and a small band of intrepid investigators feverishly combs the venerable halls of the museum in search of the legendary symbol that can still save our world: the Elder Sign In The Elder Sign, 1-8 players take on the roles of investigators immeasurably powerful creatures from a dimension beyond space and time in the desperate fight against the Great Old Ones. Using special dice, players must embark on adventures in and around the museum, where strange beings gather. The investigators' bravery and skill does not go unrewarded, however, with the most precious reward being the mysterious Elder Sign, the insignia with which one can banish the Ancient One and win the game. But it is a race against time, for each night at midnight the Ancient One stirs in his slumber and his awakening in our world draws ever closer. If the investigators take too long, mankind's fate will be sealed.
