Sherlock

In Sherlock, first published as Holmes 13 , players take on the role of a detective trying to unmask the notorious thief Arsene Lupine, who is among them in disguise.

The game consists of 13 character cards, with 2 or 3 characteristics each. Each feature is shared by 3 to 5 characters. The cards are shuffled and one is drawn and set aside. This card represents the costume chosen by Arsene Lupin. The other cards are distributed equally among the players. Players now count the total characteristics they have on their cards (for example, 2 detectives, 1 woman, 0 genius, etc.) and write them down for later use.

Players now take turns doing a question to collect new evidence:

a.) To all players: "Who has (at least one) of (this characteristic)?

OR

b .) To a player: "How many of (this feature) do you have?

Using these clues, players try to figure out which costume Arsene has chosen (i.e., which card is missing). Instead of a question, a player can announce which character they suspect to be Arsenio in disguise. That player then secretly checks the hole card. If the suspicion was correct, this player wins the game, otherwise the player is eliminated and the other players continue.
