John Marlowe, lawyer and researcher, has died under mysterious circumstances. He was a renowned member of the Fabian Society, created to avoid inequalities and prevent a revolution.
His widow, Anne Marlowe, has contacted the spirit of her husband during a session with the famous medium Madame Blavatsky and claims to know who he is her husband's killer, but Scotland Yard investigators prefer to inspect the crime scene and question persons of interest.
