Zampa Monstruos

You are at your grandparents' vacation home and strange noises come from the attic. After plucking up your courage and going up the stairs, you suddenly start seeing colored furry monsters everywhere. They seem friendly... but also very hungry! You have to feed them with the first thing you find. They eat everything, but they seem especially attracted to the colors of objects.

Designed by Andreas Wilde, Gobble Monsters is a cooperative, color-matching card game for 2 to 4 players, ages 6 and up. The goal is to complete each of the levels by feeding all the creatures with the food they like the most. The game requires a free app, which can be downloaded to a phone or tablet. Once downloaded, the app does not require an internet connection to play.

With very easy to learn and apply rules, Zampa Monstruos has two game modes. On the one hand, there is the story mode, in which little by little you will solve levels in a campaign, and on the other, the party mode, for single games. In the first, 12 levels await you in which you will follow a story and unlock new locations and objects; In the higher levels you will discover new creatures and some of them will have special abilities that give you additional fun challenges. In party mode, you can play a single game using as many items as you like (represented in-game as location card packs).

Throughout the game, you will have to feed various creatures to win. To do this, you have to feed them objects that, when combined, form a color as close as possible to the tone of the monster's fur. If you give a monster a combination of items that doesn't result in a color close to its fur tone, you'll lose and have to start over.

On your turn, you take an item card from your hand to feed the monster. You will scan the QR code on the back of the selected cards and the application will show you the resulting color. If that mixture matches the color of the monster's fur, you've cleared the level! But be careful, because monsters hate vitamins... Avoid objects that contain them! On the other hand, the rabbits, which you will also find on your way, love them. They don't actually eat anything else, regardless of the color of the object. You will have to keep your balance and manage your hand of cards well if you want to overcome a lot of levels.

At any time in the game you can regulate the difficulty. From the application you can select if you want to play in easy, intermediate or difficult mode; depending on the selected mode, it will take you more or less to find the ideal mix of items to satisfy the monsters and give them what they need.

Ideal to play as a team with the little ones at home, Zampa Monsters offers quick games with very few rules. However, it also incorporates elements to progressively increase the difficulty, as the basic dynamics are mastered.
