Rebel Princess

Snow White, the Little Mermaid, Cinderella and many other fairytale princesses celebrate a 5-day long party. The blue princes, who have not been invited, will try to sneak into the dance to propose to the young women. As a free and independent princess, you will try to avoid marriage proposals. Who will manage to stay single after the celebrations?


“Rebel Princess” is an award-winning card game for 3 to 6 players, with 30-minute games that combines traditional trick-taking mechanics with innovative variations. It has been created by the authors Daniel Byrne, Gerardo Guerrero, Kevin Peláez and Tirso Virgós, and has the precious illustrations of the veteran Alfredo Cáceres, responsible for the art of “Zodiac Duel”. This project is the 6th game published by the Zombi Paella publishing house and it can be played in Valencian, Spanish and English, with all the versions inside the same box.

How is it played?

The game is divided into 5 rounds, which represent the 5 days of a party. At the end of the game, the player with the fewest marriage proposals wins.

The general mechanics is that of trick games. Starting with the player who has taken the previous trick, each player uses a number card from one of the different suits in the game (fairies, queens, animals, or princes). The rest of the players are obliged to follow the initial suit unless they do not have any cards of that suit. In such a case she will use any other suit (this is called “ruffing”). When all players have used a card, the trick is over. The player with the highest number of the suit that started the trick… she takes all the cards in the trick! But attention! The prince cards each provide 1 marriage proposal and the frog, which is a prince in camouflage, provides 5! Avoid marriage proposals! Also, players cannot start a trick with a prince card until a prince does not appear because a player has "ruffed". Remember that princes are not invited to the party!
