More info
The Shasvastii Expeditionary Unit has been created to carry out military operations in enemy territory or in politically sensitive areas. Their functions include, but are not limited to, long-term indirect activities, which involves guerrilla warfare and other low-visibility or clandestine offensive operations. They have specialized in techniques of silent advance, night combat and reconnaissance of the terrain, in which they are as deadly as they are effective.
The Asuangs receive instruction in the so-called “black arts” that involve abilities of genetic malleability and regeneration by absorption of organic matter. Which, translated into common language, means that they can devour their enemies alive in order to heal or become more resistant. Originally designed to operate far away or isolated from supply lines and field hospitals, this ability makes them fearsome and terrifying adversaries. For this reason, the Pan-Oceanic troops named them Asuangs, a vampiric creature from Philippine folklore that ate human flesh. Word of the voracity of these beings, and the panic they cause, quickly spread through the human ranks.
The Asuangs have become the newest monster in campfire horror stories. They are the nemesis of the night watches. Since their appearance on the front lines, human armies have been forced to double down on their own security officers, potential victims of these dangerous Shasvastii. The fearsome reputation of the Expeditionary Unit makes their job easy. Human troops run away from them because they know they can eat people. The Asuangs are the terrible cannibal soldier of the Combined Army.
