Mephisto is an extradimensional being of immense power and intellect. He is also a mysterious and constant threat to all of humanity, as he waits for the right moment to arrive and only attacks when it suits him. From the fiery dimension, he spreads devious plans and evil pacts that bind the unwary to contracts that earn him their souls. His talents for manipulating humans have allowed him to close deals with the likes of Norman Osborn and Peter Parker at times when they were on the decline, but such agreements always benefit him at the expense of the other party. And thanks to his ability to discern the future, his defeats are nothing more than acceptable outcomes...
