Plasticard Profile FLAT STRIPS 4mm

Plasticard profiles are made of ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), also known as Plasticard. The generic termplasticard refers to a type of plastic widely used in model making. ABS plastic is the same plastic used to make LEGO bricks.

This plastic has very attractive physical properties for model making because, despite its strength and durability, it is very easy to work with. It can be purchased in sheets of different thicknesses, smooth or textured, as well as in profiles with a wide variety of shapes. The ideal glue for ABS plastics is cyanoacrylate. White glue also works. It can be used, but it takes much longer to dry.

The ABS plasticard also has thermoplastic properties, which allows its shape to be altered with various heat sources.
