Textured Roller Dutch Bricks 15mm

The textured roller is an essential tool for applying textures to clays, modeling pastes, or putties. Its PMMA (clear acrylic) structure offers a non-stick, durable, and non-toxic surface, ideal for precision work in model making.

Size:

  • Length: 14.50 cm (5.5 inches)
  • Diameter: 2.5 cm (1 inch)
  • Drawing Size Range: 1.5x1.5 to 1.5x4 mm (variable)
  • Recommended Scales: 1/144 - 1/100 - 1/72 (miniatures) 12-15-20mm)

USAGE GUIDE:

  1. Knead the putty or clay until it reaches a uniform consistency suitable for working. Always follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
  2. Place it on the desired area and smooth the surface well to ensure a clean impression. Use a smooth roller to level before applying the design.
  3. If the material tends to stick, dampen the roller or add a thin layer of modeling petroleum jelly to facilitate its movement.
  4. Roll the roller slowly, applying even pressure to achieve a uniform finish.
  5. Once the material has dried or hardened, carefully trim any excess edges.

COMPATIBILITY AND TIPS:

Works with a wide variety of modeling products.

Clays such as Super Sculpey clays are ideal because they are easy to handle. Since they don't harden until baked, they allow you to work calmly and correct mistakes. If you are creating textures on bases, you can use MDF wood bases, baking the clay directly on them. Suggested time: 15 minutes at 150°C (300°F). MDF will withstand the heat, although it may emit a slight odor during the process. Epoxy putties also offer good results, although they require different techniques. In the case of green stuff, which is very sticky, it is advisable to wet the rolling pin or apply petroleum jelly to prevent sticking. Dusting with talcum powder is also helpful. When working with Milliput putty, avoid adding too much water, as this can make modeling difficult. If it becomes very sticky, continue kneading until it becomes more manageable. *** Always clean the rolling pin afterward, especially if you have used epoxy putties. MAINTENANCE:

To remove debris trapped in the design, use water and Scratch brushes, which allow for deep cleaning without damaging the relief.

SAFE USE:

This product is not intended for children without proper adult supervision.
