Textured rollers for texturizing, spreading, and shaping all types of putties, clays, and pastes. Made of non-stick, transparent PMMA plastic. Non-toxic.

INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Mix the sculpting putty/clay according to the manufacturer's instructions.

2. Spread the putty/clay onto the surface to be textured. For best results, even out and smooth the surface evenly before rolling. It is recommended to use the smooth roller for this.

3. Depending on the type of material being used, it is advisable Dampen the roller with a little water, or use petroleum jelly for modeling, to prevent sticking.

4th Carefully roll over the surface, applying the same pressure at all points to obtain a similar texture.

5th Trim off any excess putty/clay once it has dried.

MATERIALS:

There are countless putties and clays on the market, and all of them can be textured by applying the appropriate technique.

Generally, polymer clays (like Super Sculpey) are quite easy to work with using these rollers and allow for easy correction of mistakes since they don't dry until they are baked. If the goal is to create textured bases, we recommend using MDF supports since it is possible to texture the clay directly onto the MDF base and then bake everything, base included. The baking time for clays is 15 minutes at 150ºC. MDF wood will leave a smell similar to toast, but it won't burn. If we're talking about epoxy putties, there are more differences and more techniques to achieve similar results. The good thing is that they don't need to be baked and can be applied directly to plastic materials. In the case of Green Stuff, which is especially sticky, you'll need to dampen the rollers with a little water. You can also reduce the stickiness of this putty by applying talcum powder, or for best results, a little modeling petroleum jelly. Other epoxy putties like Milliput are also suitable, but we recommend not over-wetting them as this makes them difficult to work with. Furthermore, if the mixture is too sticky, it's best to continue kneading until it becomes less sticky. *** With this type of putty, it's very important to clean the rollers properly after use.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE:

After using the rollers, if any material remains on the design, clean with the Scratch brushes and plenty of water.
